Wednesday - not a washout

OK, I didn't work out yesterday. It was pretty late when I finished work and I wanted to go to bed early. A workout didn't fit.

I was also celebrating the fact that I asked for my girlfriend's hand in marrige and she accepted! So now I am a fiance. That was a good reason to do something other than work out. :)

Energy Drinks

Update - 2007-08-27 - Superstore is now selling a case of 24 Red Rain for $27 + deposit. Nice. My most significant food discovery lately has been Energy Drinks . I thought these were for frat boys and steroid junkies for the longest time but, during an extended period of "working late", learned they were good for me as well. See, I recently learned I could no longer drink coffee and never really found it very good for staying up late, anyway. Late night work and driving are the two times I really can't afford to be drowsy and I was telling a friend this, when then said "we get Red Bull free at work" and told me it helped them get through all-nighters. I tried a can of Red Bull on my next road trip and it worked. It worked really well. The drowsiness (and fear that I would fall asleep at the wheel) were gone. Quick post

Taking a quick break from work to post here (haven't done it in a long time, stuck on a problem at work... this should help). Brain dump: been gardening with my wife... should have a decent yield of greens and hearty vegetables plus some excellent herbs and tomatoes put up a clothesline at the house with my brother (it was a raining a little but we got it done) trying to go to the gym every day before work; I have been working at home more though, and not bothering to hit the gym... I think I need to go anyway on those days or do a P90X workout or something action packed weekend planned featuring comedy fest, brunch, and a concert (Joel Plaskett is opening for the Bare Naked Ladies)... That last one should boost my Google ranking, but for all the wrong reasons. OK, back to work!
